SIMPLE STORIES - COVID 19

Storytelling is a simple way to help talk to children about different topics.  When written simply, these stories can help children understand  topics  that are happening in society, like COVID19, or they can be ways to explain how to behave socially.  When written simply and plainly, they are a tool used to make the information very easy to understand.

WHY CAN'T I GO TO SCHOOL?

A simple story to explain why children are not in school right now, and what may need to happen before we can return.

WHAT IS SOCIAL DISTANCE?

A simple visual made for children to show what social distancing looks like.

WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS?

A story to instruct young children about what COVID19 is, and how it is impacting our day to day activity.

MY MOM/DAD IS AN ESSENTIAL WORKER

This is a story geared toward the child who's parent works at a hospital during this time, but it could be changed to read to any child who's parent is working at ANY essential job right now.  Kids hear things on the news, and do not always talk about what worries they have.
